I...don't even know where to start with this. This is so brilliant and funny and sweet and touching and just. I'm trying to find appropriate words here. Incredible. I love how you kept going on about the taxi driver thing. I actually laughed out loud at this line:
"“Of course,” Koki says. “Taxi drivers save the day once again. They're a good bunch, taxi drivers. Under-appreciated. Appreciate your taxi drivers this Christmas.”
I'd actually forgotten about the whole taxi driver incident until KAT-TUN kept reminding Kame of it in so many different hilarious ways. And then about the White X'mas PV and how the girls turned up at the end because they were waylaid by discount shopping. I loved that so, so much you can't imagine. The interaction between Jin and Kame was pretty much gold, so many good lines, such a warm and friendly and loving relationship that you drew out here punctuated with humour and uncertainty, though not insecurity. Kame putting Jin on probation. The issue of the pinboard. And these amazing lines:
“I'm not...” Kame glares at him. “I'm not fifty years old. I'm not dating you because of your range of coffee utensils.”
“Fair enough,” Jin says. “You're refusing to move in with me because of my lack of...cleaning utensils, though. So, you know, it stands to reason that if I had more utensils you might be more tempted.”
Probably two of the best lines I have ever read in JE fanfic.
I could count the number of Akame fics I have read on one hand (four to be exact), so I wouldn't consider myself a shipper of Akame, but your fic caught my attention from the first sentence and held it to the last and I can only thank you so much for writing such a marvellous piece of pure enjoyment. I have no words. <333
