I adored this. :D

The style and tone in which you tell this story really enhance it, but I think the thing that I loved most about this was the recurring wallpaper metaphor. You don't find recurring themes/motifs nearly as often in fanfic as you would in published literature, so seeing the wallpaper metaphor reappear throughout the fic made me flail ecstatically.

There was so much in this that felt brilliantly realistic to me that I'd be quoting the whole thing back at you if I listed them out one by one.
